Merge

Mim Oliver

In the busyness of our lives, how often do we take time to involve God in our decisions? During this Lent period we are invited to spend more time considering our place in God’s story. Do we ask God for guidance in the small things as well as the big things? Do we believe that He is even interested in the daily minutiae of our lives? Sure, we are blessed with brains and common sense that means we are able to be pretty autonomous. But the truth is, God is passionately interested with our lives and desperately longs to be in conversation with us. He loves to hear from us and yearns to share with us how wonderful and how important we are to Him.

So as we maybe take a break from some of the distractions and focus on the deeper, spiritual aspects of life, may we come to know God better and may our lives and decisions merge with His. The road may not always be easy, but with our lives intertwined and merged with God we can know peace in our hearts, and an assurance that goes beyond anything we’ve ever imagined. This gets us through the tough times. Always. So merge your path with God’s. Big things and little things are all alike to Him. He just wants to be with us.
